About
Adam Mulcaster
Certified Fitness Trainer
Adam is an Advanced Level 3 Personal Trainer. Having completed a Sports Science Degree in 1999, he was in no doubt that his ideal job would be within the fitness industry. His enthusiasm enabled him to promptly find work at Cannons Health Club where he quickly progressed to become General Manager. With nearly 25 years’ experience in the industry, Adam has matured and developed as a coach.
His philosophy has always been to educate his clients and share his knowledge and skills to enable them to understand and appreciate why certain exercises have been specifically chosen. With this understanding an individual is more likely to adhere to a routine and reap the benefits.
Adam is encouraging, professional and supportive. He appreciates that we all have a life outside of the gym and is a realist with regards to achieving a balance between the two. He has a great rapport with his clients, the majority of which have been training with him for many years. In fact a fair proportion of his clients have been with him since he began.
During the initial session, Adam likes to complete a postural analysis. This way, imbalances can be worked upon to lessen the likelihood of injury later on. He will discuss and agree a training plan to build up to any goals that his clients may have. Therefore working towards these goals safely after creating a solid foundation.
Throughout the years he has built up links with physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors .If an injury were to arise, he would be able to work alongside these various practitioners and liaise with them if required. He has worked with clients who have had hip replacements, knee replacements, back surgery and shoulder surgery.

Adam’s clients range from an Olympic silver medallist, a successful Everest summiteer, golfers, footballers, rugby players, to people wanting to develop and maintain a functional body that “just works and can move into all positions pain free”.
Up until his late forties, when he had a major accident. Adam still enjoyed playing and managing an over 35s football team. Having played county football and cricket, he relished competition and the social aspect of team sports. He also practised taekwondo with his daughter, Ava. Although he has had to admit that he was not the most coordinated when it came to learning the movement patterns!
Participating in such sports, Adam can appreciate the frustration when injuries arise and can use his expertise and ability to see his clients through any difficult phases of rehabilitation. His patience was severely tested after July 2023 when he fell 20 feet off a ladder and fractured his spine and right elbow.
Adam is always happy to be approached, keen to help and offer advice and is based upstairs in his own private training space at Creation Personal Training Heswall.
