About
Jonathan Fairhurst
Certified Fitness Trainer
Jon is a Level 4 qualified Personal Trainer having worked in the fitness industry since 2012. From then he has further expanded his experience and qualifications to be able to provide a better, more rounded, service to his clients.

A very active member of the Creation Heswall team, in addition to his Personal Training clients, Jon also runs two group running sessions on Monday and Tuesday. He is also one of the co-founders and lead coaches within our triathlon club, Total Transition Triathlon Club, and regularly coaches both swimming, cycling and running sessions.

A very supportive & encouraging trainer, Jon looks passed the physical side of training and helps instill a sense of belief in clients about their abilities and actively encourages them to explore new challenges and test their limits.
Jon puts a big emphasis on getting the foundations right ensuring all clients are strong and stable before progressing their strength development work. He has a keen eye for technique and correct form to ensure his clients get the most from the prescribed exercises and progress their fitness safely.
Working closely with local professional therapists (chiropractors, physiotherapists and sports masseurs) Jon is heavily involved with rehabilitation clients helping them to overcome injury or doing pre-habilitation work, resolving muscle imbalances or weaknesses relevant to their chosen sport or activity to avoid injury. His Level 4 qualification in managing lower back pain supports this well and adds another dimension to what can be offered to his clients.
A large proportion of his clients are active and are involved in sport in some capacity from casual participant to experienced athletes representing Great Britain at age group level. Given this, his sessions tend to have a bias towards sporting activity covering mobility, power and endurance.
Jon has been a runner from a young age competing at National level at school age before progressing to mountain biking, Adventure Racing and road cycling before transitioning to triathlon. Jon is now an active triathlete/duathlete competing regularly, typically at 70.3 Middle Distance (half ironman) and full Ironman distance triathlon events. He has represented Great Britain as part of the Great Britain Age Group Team on multiple occasions at both World and European level and has competed across all distances from Sprint triathlons up to full Ironman.
This personal experience of racing, paired with Jon’s strength training and triathlon coaching knowledge provides a wealth of experience that he can use to best help his clients reach their personal health and fitness goals.
