Natalie Harman qualified as a Sports Therapist from Coventry University in November 2010 and is a member of the federation of holistic therapists. She has had previous experience at Histon Football Club and a Sports Injury Clinic in Cambridge, whilst also attending placements including Coventry City Football Club and their academy. Natalie specialises in pre and post injury management, sports massage, treatment techniques such as joint mobilisation and  postural re-education. Natalie is available at Creations studio to assess both injuries and flexibility range of movement. Furthermore, Natalie is able to perform functional muscle movement tests to determine any muscles imbalances prior to any individual starting or progressing with a programme of exercise

Any new Creation personal training client, after the initial consultation will spend an hour with Natalie where she will assess posture and functional movement patterns. Once this assessment is carried out Natalie feeds back to the clients chosen personal trainer to make sure a specific, safe and progressive programme of exercise is implemented. This programme of development will then incorporate any physiological considerations that may have arrisen in the initial assesment.

Sports Injury Rehabilitation 

Natalie helps individuals with injuries return to full functional mobility, something that is done with the individuals chosen sport or activity in mind. She can advise on the prevention of injuries, examine, assess and treat as well as help with the rehabilitation process.

and treatments for both personal training and non personal training clients

Sports Massage

A professional practitioner will tailor a massage session to meet the need of a client, whether they are a sports participant or not. A skilled sports massage practicioner can, of course, meet the specific requirements of a professional sportsperson, but can also deliver a therapeutic feel good massage to anyone at all! Provided a client is healthy, sports massage can be administered to meet a variety of needs.

These include:

  • Relieving stress and aiding relaxation
  • Offering relief from muscle aches and fatigue
  • Preventing and treating delayed onset muscle soreness
  • Enhancing recovery from exercise
  • Relieving myofascial pain
  • Relieving spasm and cramps
  • Preparing for competition

  • Increasing circulation
  • Aiding recovery and rehabilitation following muscle injury
  • Managing/controlling of aches and tension caused by repetitive activity
  • Helping to restore flexibility

Chris is a registered member of the SMA (Sports Massage Association) www.thesma.org 

Having been a personal fitness consultant for over eight years he is now able to couple
his physiological knowledge and experience of human movement with this level 4 massage qualification.
